In June 2023 we brought our community an interview with Curtis Sittenfeld, author of our April 2023 fiction Romantic Comedy. A book club for those of us who want to read/re-read all of the classics. Usually, there will be two nominated books each. Just like a normal bookclub, we nominate books for discussion every month and set specific times for our members to meet. ![]() Instead of meeting in person, all our meetings take place on Zoom, an easy-to-use web based tool (with no signup required). Next we chatted with author, journalist and 2020 Booker Prize judge Sameer Rahim in September 2021 about the fascinating Booker Prize process and his insights. Classics Book Club Online is an online book club. Our first Literati Industry interview we spoke with the wise, witty and compassionate Catherine Milne, Head of Fiction at HarperCollins. Our Literary Industry interviews, launched in February 2021, will involve editors, publishers, literary prize judges and other lit experts, aiming to provide you interesting insights into the world of secret world of publishing and behind the scenes book selection. In late July 2021, we interviewed American author Miranda Cowley Heller about her magnificent debut novel, our July fiction The Paper Palace and in November 2021 Aussie icon Heather Morris about her third novel Three Sisters, our inspiring October fiction. We have connected via Zoom with the likes of Australian authors Victoria Hannan ( Kokomo) and Trent Dalton ( Boy Swallows Universe & All Our Shimmering Skies), Australian journalist and author Jacqueline Maley ( The Truth About Her), Australian wine critic and novelist Campbell Mattinson ( We Were Not Men), Irish talent Megan Nolan ( Acts of Desperation) and American authors Rumaan Alam ( Leave The World Behind) and Diane Cook (whose novel The New Wilderness was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2020).
